Howling Dogs Mobile Grooming
EMMI PET TEETH POLICY/INFORMATION

It is estimated that by the time they are 2 years old, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease. Emmi-pet protects your pet from oral disease and tooth loss.

A regularly scheduled oral hygiene routine is the best way to protect your pet's dental health.
As humans we clean our teeth twice a day - why do we never clean our pets? Using Emmi-pet with ultrasound to effectively remove plaque and freshen breath.

The specially formulated toothpaste, which is suitable for animals, cleans teeth and gums to prevent the build-up of plaque and tartar. Ultrasound reaches deep below the gum line to kill germs and bacteria, at the same time it increases the blood flow to the gums to heal wounds and stop bleeding.

Emmi-pet effectively combats:
• Gingivitis and periodontitis
• Oral cavity diseases
• Plaque and tartar build-up
• Bad breath

What happens?
The soft bristles are held against the teeth/gums allowing your pet's teeth to be cleaned gently without the irritation of vibration or any noise.  Ultrasound cleans more effectively than regular brushing, destroying bacteria even in gum pockets.

Although we would recommend more regular treatment, even adding the dental appointment on the back of his/her grooming appointment is certainly beneficial, as the ultrasound waves kill bacteria right under the gum line and will help to keep your dog's teeth healthy and consequently, improve his overall health.

We may require a consultation with you and your pet to assess their oral condition, suitability, and acceptance and discuss the best way forward for each pet.

If your pet already has light tartar we may suggest starting with an intensive course to heal gums and promote cleaner teeth. This treatment will require a minimum of 5 visits over a 4-6 week period. Each visit will last approximately 20/30 mins. Each dog will receive their toothbrush head, included in the price.
Each dog will have their toothbrush head which will need replacing when worn (roughly 20 uses) or damaged. This can be added on to grooming visits and/or stand-alone visits.

The toothbrush head will need replacing as necessary to maintain effectiveness, this costs £10.

Our prices are based on regular maintenance sessions on a gap of up to 12 weeks after each time.

We would have to do a full clean which would be the initial cost minus the toothbrush head.
