Ultrasound dental cleaning information, treatment options, and pricing guidance.
It is estimated that by the time they are 2 years old, 80% of dogs begin to show signs of oral disease. Emmi-pet helps protect your pet from oral disease and tooth loss.
A regularly scheduled oral hygiene routine is one of the best ways to protect your pet’s dental health. As humans we clean our teeth twice a day - using Emmi-pet ultrasound can help remove plaque and freshen breath gently.
The specially formulated animal-safe toothpaste helps clean teeth and gums to prevent the build-up of plaque and tartar. Ultrasound can reach below the gum line to reduce germs and bacteria, and it can help increase blood flow to the gums.
Although we recommend regular treatment, adding a dental appointment onto the back of a grooming visit can still be beneficial. The ultrasound waves work at the gum line and help support ongoing dental health.
We may require a consultation with you and your pet to assess oral condition, suitability, acceptance, and the best plan for your dog.
We may suggest an intensive course to support gum health and promote cleaner teeth: minimum 5 visits over 4–6 weeks. Each visit is approximately 20–30 minutes.
Each dog has their own toothbrush head (included initially). Heads should be replaced when worn (roughly 20 uses) or if damaged.
- Replacement brush head cost: £10.
Prices are based on regular maintenance sessions with a gap of up to 12 weeks between treatments.
If a full clean is required, the initial cost applies (minus the toothbrush head).
